Title Inventory Coordinator - New Inventory & Work Tools

Description •Heavily participate, communicate, engage with and actively support the Prime Sales and Rental teams, including Regional Sales Management and Coordinators.
•Oversee, plan, organize, communicate and execute the work tool inventory processes and systems for efficiency and consistency.
•Orders all work tools, attachments, components, assemblies and parts for machines that are intended for resale. Review manufacturer order status reports for work tools and attachments.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Heavily participate, communicate, engage with and actively support the Prime Sales and Rental teams, including Regional Sales Management and Coordinators.
•Oversee, plan, organize, communicate and execute the work tool inventory processes and systems for efficiency and consistency.
•Orders all work tools, attachments, components, assemblies and parts for machines that are intended for resale. Review manufacturer order status reports for work tools and attachments.
•Maintains extensive knowledge of work tool ordering processes and availability of product.
•Maintains work tool inventory. Performs physical inventory checks as needed. Oversee accurate and timely accounting of all work tool inventory.
•Responsibility for building and administering a work tool inventory plan, with the assistance of Sales and Rental Management.
•Responsibility for availability and accuracy of new work tools.
•Acts as company Work Tool Champion, including the bar coding/inventory management process.
•Serve as primary contact with Caterpillar and other manufacturers on matters pertaining to work tools.
•Ensures machines and work tools are pre-received upon notification of shipment from manufacturer and arrange transport for models not covered by Cat managed freight.
•Process work tool and machine invoices using EDOCs.
•Order machines when Inventory manager requests, or is out of office.
•File work tool exceptions with Cat for non-Cat work tools.
•Initiates and coordinates pre-delivery service on all new machines and work tools.
•Keeps yard personnel and service departments aware of incoming equipment/work tools and delivery confirmation.
•Has responsibility for the backup and working with standard machine configurations, commonality of specifications, and kitting/reconfiguration.
•Participate/engage in standard jobs as it relates to the Sales Department. Ensure that departments are properly and consistently utilizing standard jobs.



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required and directed.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the Inventory Manager, Regional Sales Managers and General Manager of Sales.
•Sufficient interpersonal skills to deal with people across department lines in a mature, relaxed, objective and cooperative manner.
•Coordinate with sales, rental and service departments to ensure optimum cooperation and support.
•Oversee inventory reconciliation and report monthly on status.
•Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations.
•Enable Cashman to achieve its objective of Safely Home. Everyone. Every Day.™ by promoting a positive safety culture and adhering to all company safety policies, procedures and practices.
•Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
•Deliver Cashman’s “Best Customer Experience” for all internal and external customers on a consistent basis.
•Other duties and special projects as assigned.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Ability to recognize and manage confidential and sensitive materials in a secure manner.
•Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and the general public.
•Analytical, reasoning and decision making abilities.
•Knowledge of Caterpillar or other major manufacturer and dealer operations desired but not required.
•Actively participates with and supports the division teams.

•Achieves a division customer focus by providing high quality service standards and building and maintaining lasting customer and internal customer relationships.
•Provides division teams continuous and timely support through feedback, problem solving and sense of urgency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
•Minimum two years’ experience in an inventory environment or sales/rental/service or related coordination role required. Caterpillar or allied brand background or knowledge helpful.
•DBS-EMS knowledge or other similar inventory/selling business system desired but not required.
•Must have experience using personal computer software programs such as Word, Excel and Windows.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task.

•Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
•Must be able to occasionally/frequently bend, squat and climb; including ability to ascend and descend ladder.

•Occasional, but infrequent, out-of-state travel and overnight stays.
