The Product Support Quoter will be responsible for making independent key decisions regarding product pricing and developing competitive sales quotations for the Product Support team and branch personnel via the PSQuoter application. Coordinates information and provides bid assistance with pricing, availability, service, delivery, etc. between customers and Product Support personnel. Assembles and validates the final quote, including material and labor and reviews all quotes for completeness, accuracy and compliance with customer requirements and company standards. Provides feedback to Product Support Sales Manager about competitive needs for further marketing funds implementation. The Product Support Quoter will quote work for internal/external customers for all HMC shops using PSQ software.
Perform parts, labor, and misc. research necessary to make key decisions regarding product pricing for the company.
Participate in daily shop walks, meeting with lead(s)/supervisors/managers to ensure a communication flow.
Prepare proposals/quotes on maintenance and repair work.
Maintain updated quotes throughout the repair process.
Tracks and monitors all discounts, incentives and specials.
Create a history of quotes in PSQ.
Create and maintain a flat rate resource for the Product Support Department.
When available utilize standard jobs and prototypes.
Provide internal/external customers with quote updates in a manner to meet customer expectations.
Perform various operation tasks as assigned. i.e. Opening work orders, updating MDS, uploading SR and invoicing.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have two (2) year’s general office experience.
Must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
Must have three (3) to five (5) years of customer service experience.
Must have three (3) to five (5) years of heavy equipment parts/service experience.
Moderate proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
Experience with PS Quoter program preferred.
High degree of attention to details
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, activities, and projects for timely completion
Must have above average communication skills.
Strong work ethic, flexibility, ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure preferred.
