Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:  The ability to manage change and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with a complete understanding of Corporate Safety & Compliance Policies.  Excellent communication skills and knowledge of Field Service work and various types of equipment, proficient in Windows based applications, AS400, Saleslink and Servicelink.

Basic Duties

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to): 

  • Answer incoming calls for Power Field Service.
  • Open work orders by collecting all required information from the customer on the initial phone call. Keep customers informed of job progression up to and including conclusion.
  • Open quoted repair work orders and order Cat parts.  Notify parts department of any non-CAT parts that need to be ordered. 
  • Review Field Service work orders for accuracy.
  • Look up serial #'s to verify if units are covered under warranty.
  • Report all invoice disputes related to assigned work orders within your territory and/or assigned personnel.
  • Back up to Purchasing Assistant when needed.
  • Assist in preparing billing and invoicing work orders. 
  • Back up dispatchers when necessary.
  • Assign jobs as they come in amongst (4) Supervisors for dispatching technicians.
  • Check emergency inbox and respond to requests promptly.
  • Assists with workorder processing, as needed.
  • Provides admin support to supervisors and service manager, as needed.
  • Maintains service records, equipment information, and customer information in CRM system, as needed.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  None

Qualifications

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:  High School Graduate or equivalent and a minimum two years of customer service experience. Power Systems engine, electrical, and/or mechanical experience is a plus. Previous experience in a fast paced multi-tasking environment is a must for this position.   

 

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:  Initiates services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; assigning the most qualified Technician available; maintaining customer rapport and records.
