POSITION SUMMARY: The Technology Support Specialist reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for providing customer support through the performance of on-site installations, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of on-machine systems and technical customer training. This individual should have a background in mechanical and electrical engineering. Working as a subject matter expert, this position is responsible for professional installation of Trimble 2D and 3D machine control systems and telematics hardware on non-Cat branded machines and the professional installation of Cat AccuGrade systems on Cat machines.
Assisting in the development of localized training materials and providing training to end-users on the operation of Machine Control
Deliver quality technical assistance on time and ensure customer
Be the primary resource in providing on-machine installation, maintenance and training on construction heavy civil construction technology at the customer's
Ensure the operational quality of the system by documenting post-installation
Provide on-site troubleshooting as requested by the sales and technical support organizations
Provide high-level operator training to end-users.
Ensure that installation, training and other work necessary is completed on
Document and report field activities as well as being pro-active in creating process
Assist sales and marketing with trade shows and
Drive revenue based upon performance of services for construction machine
Create & provide localized training services for qualified customers and third party organizations with the intent to educate and expand the overall business of machine related construction within the
Assist the SITECH Operations Team with tasks related to equipment shipping, receiving and
Be responsible for maintenance of rental equipment fleet: inspect, check in/out, clean, update software & repair when
Provide support to and work under the supervision of the General Manager assisting in the repairs, maintenance and calibration or equipment in the repair
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Familiarity with heavy equipment and hydraulic systems required.
