Job Description


Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Senior Marketing Consultant. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of marketing initiatives to effectively support client business plans, and the successful completion of marketing and advertising projects and planned promotion events to support all divisions. The Sr. Marketing Consultant provides guidance, leadership and support to Marketing Consultants. Duties include executing a range of marketing tactics, including direct mail, email, content development, events, and web-based lead generation with minimal supervision. This role proactively identifies marketing opportunities, recommends solutions, and maintains sales initiative programs/reporting. The Sr. Marketing Consultant must maintain knowledge of all Caterpillar trademark regulations, CAT Voice and corporate image policies and procedures. Seeking candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field of study. 3 to 5 years of experience in professional marketing environment preferred. Background or experience with electric power generation, on-highway truck and/or industrial engine applications would be a significant benefit.

Requirements:

Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork.
Able to provide support in the creation, execution and measurement of marketing campaigns.
Able to collaborate with the management team to implement strategic programs and supporting tactics.
Ability to track, analyze and compile reporting on campaign performance; keep accurate data on all marketing spend and provide return on investment analysis feedback to leadership.
Must have proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications; able to quickly learn preferred web-based tools.
Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance and report on positive trends, making optimization recommendations where possible.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Able to work hours required for job and customer demand; able to travel and stay overnight as needed.
Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight.
