THE OPPORTUNITY
We are searching for an Undercarriage Rebuilder – Track Press Operator to join our growing operations in Reserve, LA.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
- Repair and rebuild all undercarriage component parts and assemblies.
- Operate all machines and equipment used in this operation.
- Provide on-the-job training to mechanics and helpers.
- Act as a temporary work center lead-person as assigned.
- Work in adverse weather and other adverse shop and field situations presented by customer needs.
- Communicate orally and in writing information, instructions, and explanations to associates, customers, and management regarding equipment conditions, problems, and recommendations.
- Disassemble components, inspect parts, and check for wear and defects.
- Determine reparability, reusability, and extent of repairs required.
- Reassemble all types of undercarriages, assemblies, and components.
- Complete required timecards and service reports.
- Maintain company equipment - keep in good clean orderly condition.
- Adhere to all applicable safety policies.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED: High School Diploma, or equivalent
- REQUIRED: Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record
- REQUIRED: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- REQUIRED: Keep safety as a priority in the work environment.
- REQUIRED: Own and maintain required personal tools
- REQUIRED: Ability to successfully complete a skills assessment
- REQUIRED: Excellent client service skills.
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: At least five years heavy equipment technician experience, preferably in a dealership environment.
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Caterpillar work experience.
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Proficient in rebuilding/repairing machinery including hydraulics, electrical, powertrain, engines, and Tier IV Emissions systems.
