Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Training Instructor in Richmond, Virginia. The Training Instructor is responsible for organizing, conducting and evaluating technical training courses and projects for employees. Training Instructor is primarily responsible for teaching Foundational and Apprentice level courses. Seeking candidates with Experience presenting material in an engaging manner preferred but training will be provided; Heavy equipment, engine or power generation industry experience, required; High School Diploma or GED required.
Requirements for the Training Instructor position include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Must be willing to travel frequently with overnight travel required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Physical requirements must be met for the Training Instructor job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
