Position Summary
As a Class 2 & 3 Outside Sales Specialist, your primary responsibility is to build relationships with customers in the warehouse equipment market — focusing on electric lift trucks and related products (Class 2 & 3). You’ll develop sales strategies, engage with current and prospective customers, and help grow our customer base while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SILVER SERVICE® to all customers
- Call on existing and potential warehouse equipment customers
- Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan
- Generate quotes and deliver professional sales presentations
- Follow up with customers to secure business and ensure satisfaction
- Maintain and update a customer database monthly
- Track equipment ownership among your customers
- Submit monthly account activity reports
- Assist customers with financing and leasing options
- Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection
- Prospect for new business, including cold calls
- Work closely with the Warehouse Products Division
- Invite customers to experience products in our Experience Center
Product & Customer Focus
- Sell Matetial Handling Equipment
- Target warehouse customers and businesses with large existing fleets
- Identify and engage businesses newly entering the territory
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Sales or related industry experience may substitute for formal education
Physical Requirements
- Sit for extended periods
- Walk, bend, and move across uneven terrain
- Communicate clearly via phone and in person
- Use computers and phones frequently
- Stand and move as needed to perform job duties
