Job Summary: Diagnoses and repairs customer complaints of On-Highway Trucks, Trailers, and related equipment.

Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
- Performs major engine repairs and related equipment repairs
- Provides high quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks
- Prepares required documentation needed to complete repair orders
- Performs Failure Analysis of failed engine components
- Maintains appearance and operation of truck to ensure productivity and professional representation
- Accurately completes and files documentation necessary to justify billing
- Responsible for training and development of all new and existing team members
- Maintains a P Factor of greater than 110%
- Maintains less than .25% rework for years total sales
- Desires to challenge self with an abundance mindset to achieve highest levels of performance and quality
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and On-Highway Truck electronic systems
- Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate a conventional forklift
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repairs and jobs
- Ability to operate an On-Highway Truck on public roads
- Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 15 or more years or work related experience required
- CDL – Class A or B required
- ASE – Master Medium/Heavy Truck Certification required
- Conventional forklift license required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Travel:
- Limited travel or overnight stays
- Travel to other stores that require help during times of heavy workloads may be expected
- Travel to customer locations may be expected
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Additional Requirements:
- Must own and maintain the necessary tools to efficiently perform the job
Physical Requirements:
- Significant amount of time spent standing
- Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity
- Communication with customers and constant communication with co-workers
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
- Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Be able to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment
- Lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, reaching, and balancing
- Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment
Work Environment:
- Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts
- May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Frequently works in an enclosed vehicle or equipment
- Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
- Exposure to high noise levels
- Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
- Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment
- Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
