Louisiana Cat is seeking a PARTS & SERVICE SALES MANAGER for our Machine Division. This position will cover the state of Louisiana but will be based out of Lake Charles or Lafayette.
YOU
The Parts and Service Sales Manager (PSSM) is expected to lead a staff of sales representatives in building long-term customer relationships and ensuring complete coverage of all customer accounts. We are looking for a highly self-motivated and result oriented individual with proven sales management experience. The ideal candidate will have the capability to understand our customers' needs and offer guidance in providing parts and service solutions.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
- Maintain close relationships with their peers in the Parts and Service Departments to understand operational opportunities and constraints
- Set performance goals, monitor sales reps' progress toward those goals, and continuously assess product knowledge and skill sets
- Provide developmental feedback and one-on-one coaching to improve sales reps' skills and support them on a career path
- Read and understand financial reports such as balance sheets, cash flow and income statements
- Develop annual budgets and regular forecasts to monitor how well business forecasts align with actual performance
- Contribute to and implement business plans and adjust models to respond to and anticipate changing market conditions
- Create a coverage and sales execution strategy for assigning customer accounts to sales channels, optimize coverage and set staffing levels
- Align and deploy marketing campaigns and consult with the marketing department on campaign initiatives
MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- A four year degree from an accredited college or university is required (may be substituted with 10 years of experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience required
- 5 to 10 years of sales management experience required
- Knowledge of construction industry preferred, but not required
- With proficient computer skills, namely MS Office Suite and web based applications

- Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm
- Extensive travel between branches is expected
