Ethero Truck + Energy is a cutting-edge Mid-Atlantic region distributor of Nikola Corporation’s battery-electric (BEV) and fuel cell electric (FCEV) commercial semi-trucks and Lonestar SV brand terminal tractors. Ethero provides trucking fleet customers with truck equipment, parts and service support for zero-emissions commercial vehicles, as well as charging infrastructure solutions. Ethero is hiring an Electric Truck Sales Representative to cover Maryland, D.C. and Delaware. The Electric Truck Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing and owning relationships with national commercial fleet accounts. Tasks include identifying municipal and private fleets that are interested in deploying electric trucks, identifying key personnel at target fleets, developing relationships via cold-calling, referrals, introductions from industry stakeholders, trade shows, events, etc., coordinating product demonstrations, communicating benefits of all-electric propulsion technology over conventional, assisting fleets with securing public funding for projects where applicable, authoring and securing contracts for pilot projects and large deployments, and working with our staff and after sales team to oversee the production, delivery, and deployment of vehicles. We’re seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of outside sales experience required. Experience in marketing, market intelligence and driving a robust go-to market strategy. Experience selling to National Fleet Managers and executives, as well as commercial, governmental and municipalities. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Requirements for the Electric Truck Sales Representative position include:
- Must possess the ability to evaluate opportunities, prioritize, negotiate and close; results oriented.
- Able to set sales objectives, forecast sales, and complete reporting in a CRM.
- Able to develop and execute effective action plans and handle customer situations to produce results.
- Must be a good listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work and communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization.
- Proven experience in influencing and leading.
- Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
- Able to service existing customers with periodic scheduled visits, and effectively prospect potential new customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Must possess ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology.
- Excellent presentation skills; public speaking experience.
- Able to interpret data and make quick decisions.
- Must be innovative and creative; able to quickly evaluate facts and maintain good judgment when making decisions.
- Able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be well organized and able to handle several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Clean driving record and a valid driver's license required.
- Commercial driver’s license Class A or B is a plus.
- Current Maryland motor vehicle salesperson license is a plus. Our company will provide state salesperson training and testing accommodations.
- Frequent travel is required – overnight or out town via car or airplane.
Physical requirements must be met for the Electric Truck Sales Representative job, including the ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, with frequent walking. Repeated stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.
