Field Service Supervisor

Ascendum Machinery, a leading Volvo Construction Equipment dealer, is offering an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Supervisor to lead a team of dedicated service personnel and heavy equipment technicians at our Raleigh, NC branch location. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead field technicians to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Dispatch work to field and shop technicians.
- Ensure all service technicians are provided with the necessary tools to complete assignments.
- Ensure all work orders are opened, closed, and billed in a timely manner.
- Assist technicians in the repair and service of machinery, when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all safety training, product offerings, and department goals.
- Ensure all company safety requirements are adhered to by service personnel.
- Ensure all administrative functions are completed in a timely manner.
- Lead and coach technicians to complete all training as required.
- Maintain supervisory oversight of the service shop and the facilities yard.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or trade school completion in the appropriate field.
- Prior supervisory experience over a technical staff in heavy equipment or related industry.
- Knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA, and DOT requirements.
- Have knowledge of personal computers and related software including Outlook.
- Physical demand - Must be able to stoop, bend, climb, and crawl without restriction.
- Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to travel, as necessary.
