Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Operations Assistant in Felton, Delaware. The Operations Assistant is responsible for coordinating inspections, processing returns, tracking fleet vehicles coordinating EHS and 5S audits, providing backup support for Service Advisor and various other assistant tasks. Seeking candidates with previous assistant experience in service industry; High school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements for the Operations Assistant position include:
- Must be a self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
- Must be able to work in a high volume fast-paced environment.
- Must be a strong communicator with good customer service skills.
- Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet business and customer demands.
- Proficient computer technology skills, including MS-Office.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be organized and be able to interact with coworkers.

Physical requirements must be met for the Operations Assistant job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 50 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
