Sonsray Fleet Services division is seeking Mobile Reefer Technicians to join our Thermo King dealership in Bronx, NY.
Essential Job and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of components on truck and trailer refrigeration units
- Maintaining transport refrigeration unit on trucks and trailers by performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computers
- Completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment
- Maintains transport truck and trailer refrigeration units and truck’s APU by reviewing shop orders
- Repairing failures; removing, replacing, and testing for Freon leaks, assembling and installing parts and components involving soldering, welding, and the use of refrigeration equipment
- Installing various new units on trailers, trucks, and vans
- Regularly be engaged away from the employer's place or places of business and will be driving to the existing customer’s and/or prospective client’s location
- Comply with all road signs and operate vehicles within their limits and weather environment
- Follow all Auto and Equipment Safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
- Must be able to walk, use hands, fingers, bend, carry, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform miscellaneous-related duties as required and assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- Highly prefer 3+ years’ experience repairing Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration units
- 3+ years of field mechanical experience is ideal
- Must have general mechanical experience in heavy diesel equipment and electrical diagnostics to be considered
- Tools are required
- Must be over 21 years of age, possess and maintain a current and acceptable, valid "C" Driver's License to drive for the company
