Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Facilities Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for performing various clerical and administrative duties in support of Facilities Department. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating and managing scheduling of building maintenance items such as, elevator inspections, boiler inspections, BNP Inspections, Sprinkler Inspections, Risk Insurance, and other onsite inspections. Seeking candidates with minimum three years administrative experience required and high school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements for the Facilities Coordinator position include:
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
- Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent assistance to team members.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
- Must possess ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must possess ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements for the Facilities Coordinator job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight.
