A Day in the Life of a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst:
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually
Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Work closely with business units to provide insights, recommendations, and financial models to drive decision-making
Develop long-term financial plans and KPI monitoring
Prepares monthly asset-based lending and borrowing base reporting.
Analyze variances in past or present performance and recommend improvements
Work with Procurement, Sales, and Finance teams to improve purchasing processes and manage excess inventory.
Perform a scrap inventory analysis to identify the big drivers and the root cause
Work with Procurement and Operations teams to ensure we scrap the excess and obsolete inventory that is no longer usable or sellable
Supports the annual budgeting efforts for all divisions as needed
Supports reporting of region/business unit financial information by evaluating financial trends, data analysis reports, and forecasts of income and expense; reviewing assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses; and using data/inputs from region/business unit systems to support analyses (e.g., utilization reports, volume reporting, day sales inventory, analysis spreadsheets, investment schedules)
Provide financial modeling, analysis, and valuation support for acquisitions and ad-hoc projects
Experience with acquisition due diligence and integration of acquired entities where desired financial synergies were achieved. Able to perform discounted cash flow analyses as needed.
Develop and execute financial strategies in alignment with the company's business objectives
Conduct scenario planning to proactively address potential market fluctuations and make data-driven decisions
Oversee the open-to-buy process, ensuring efficient inventory management and optimizing buying decisions
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Success Factors:
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another highly analytical/quantitative discipline
Systems power user with a high skill level in managing financial dataflows and databases. Expert at Excel.
Proven track record of success in a multi-channel retail environment with expertise in scenario planning and inventory and equipment management
Exposure to dealership business model preferred
Experience with acquisition due diligence and integration of acquired entities to achieve financial synergies
Extensive experience with reporting, visualization, intelligence, and analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
