Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end closing of accounts and performing other general accounting duties related to a designated area, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Seeking candidates with experience handling cash transactions and reporting. Previous Accounting experience. Associates degree in Accounting, preferred.

Physical requirements must be met for the Analyst job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.

Technical/other training or better in Accounting.
Experience
