Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Inventory Control Analyst in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for performing maintenance, analysis and adjustments to inventory files on a daily basis to maintain the most up to date inventory information; ensuring effective use of inventory to meet customer demand while maintaining acceptable inventory management; and other duties in support of the Inventory Control Department. Seeking candidates with previous experience working with vendors in a Parts environment; inventory and ordering system. College degree, preferred.

Physical requirements must be met for the Inventory Control Analyst job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
