Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Rental District Sales Manager at our Chesapeake, Virginia & Williamsburg, Virginia locations. The Rental District Sales Manager is responsible for the equipment rental markets in an assigned district. Responsibilities include accountability for leading and achieving specific results in the areas of sales coverage strategy and execution, sales forecasting and sales funnel management, revenue growth and business plan achievement, market share growth, and customer growth and retention objectives. Seeking candidates with a minimum five years rental equipment industry experience. Direct sales experience. Bachelor's degree (business-related field preferred).
Requirements for the Rental District Sales Manager include:
- Thorough knowledge of construction rental equipment.
- Strong business acumen, including but not limited to budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting and managing rental agreements and terms and conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical requirements must be met for the Rental District Sales Manager job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear.
